The Children’s Book Bank
In a digital world with unhealthy amounts of screen time,
nurturing curiosity, reading and storytelling is as
important as ever.
The Children's Book Bank is a vital community initiative
that puts books directly in the hands of kids, welcoming
learners of all reading levels and backgrounds.
Through numerous programs hosted in 4 hubs across Toronto, they’ve truly created a space
where everyone belongs. Teens and parents with their children
can pop in 7 days a week and pick up a book for free,
no registration, fees, membership, or ID required.
Since 2008, they've given away over 2 million books to
kids across the city and continue to grow their literacy
programs through weekly community events, free visits
for schools, daycares, and summer camps.
Supporting local goes beyond cafés and small businesses,
take a moment to get to know the organizations that
strengthen our community in meaningful ways.
